Co-Active Coaching

“How are you?” People ask this of one another daily and we respond, politely. But truly, how are you? How satisfied are you with your life? Health? Relationships? Work? What about creativity? The dreams you push aside for “someday?” How often do you play? What ignites your passion? What would be different in your life if you had someone whose sole purpose was to give you undivided attention and support for change?

Co-active coaching, the new standard in personal growth, provides this structured support. Coaching focuses on the enhancement of presence, balance and conscious movement in your life! Drawing from principles of philosophy, psychology, athletics, and business, coaching acknowledges where you are now, what you want, and how to get from here to there.

What excites me about coaching is the co-active partnership. As your coach, I’ll ask questions, listen, and empower, rather than inform and advise. You will strengthen internal resources, clarify life values and priorities, and expand your vision of possibilities. My strength as a coach is in helping clients get to the heart of what matters. Through a safe and confidential forum of practical tools and honest feedback, clients witness and take responsibility for their lives. I encourage clients to live life as a sacred art; to engage in extreme self-care, nurture relationships, and experience daily creativity and fulfillment. Coaching from the inside out: as actions align with the essential, life aligns with your dreams.

Benefits experienced in the coaching process include:
Deeper self-awareness and empowerment
Improved communication and relationships
Healthier balance between personal and professional development
Clarified career visions
Accelerated ability to set and achieve tangible goals
Stress reduction and lifestyle simplification
A heightened sense of fulfillment and gratitude
Increased energy and a larger capacity for joy

Personal, artistic and spiritual growth has been my life passion. The rural lifestyle I’ve lived and embodied since the late 70s models the healthy life balance so many people are actively seeking for themselves today. A Certified Professional Co-Active Coach, I am a member of the International Coaches Federation. Academic degrees in Psychology and Expressive Arts Therapy, along with twenty years of mothering, teaching yoga and facilitating workshops and retreats, have provided ample coaching experience.

Coaching is done by telephone so geography is not a limitation. Phone sessions also tend to be very focused and productive. I offer a complimentary 30-minute telephone session to anyone who would like to experience coaching. Please contact me if interested or if you know anyone who might benefit from this service.

"Simply stated, Misha is a fantastic coach! . As her supervisor, I have been delighted and impressed with her skill of flowing between giving clients the space they need to grow and pushing them FAR beyond any self-imposed limitations."

Circle of Life:

The "Circle of Life" is a simple and fun coaching assessment tool.
Directions: The eight sections in the Circle of Life represent balance. Rank your level of satisfaction with each life area on a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being highest and on the perimeter of the circle).

"I came to coaching thinking it was primarily a tool for accomplishing external goals, yet the work I've done with Misha turned out to be primarily internal. I've had a daily meditation practice for seven years and went through four years of therapy. Coaching has been as helpful in finding contentment and inner peace as both of these modalities in just three months! …I find coaching with Misha moves me closer toward attaining my goals at a speed I did not think possible with ease and grace."
–Laura Zulch-Hays, Dance Teacher

"A few months ago I felt like I was sinking in quicksand. Any way I turned was an impossible option. Little dilemmas seemed huge, big dilemmas hopeless. I began working with Misha as my coach. Questions during the intake session immediately got me to sit still and think specifically about what changes were needed in my life. After our very first phone call, I gained the courage to begin following through on these changes. Misha provided tools to sustain me through difficult conversations, and helped me prioritize and list personal goals. We haven't spent our time rehashing old family history. We spend each session problem solving and moving forward. Misha has helped me be accountable to myself.
Two months have gone by. I feel like my life is back on a course that I can handle. When difficult situations arise I am not retreating back into my hole and feeling helpless. I go back over notes taken during our conversations and utilize visualizations created with Misha. I feel equipped to move forward. Life isn't perfect; it is a process. Misha has been a guiding light.
